So much have changed!!!

From last many months, I have not played any outdoor games. I still remember the fun and spirit of playing cricket and football with all my friends. In a single ground there used be all various players of different ages. A kid, teens, adults, married and even grey beard uncle of two kids. A complete family was there. We played irrespective of rain, storm, darkness, fog and scorching sun. oh!! while talking about different states of weather, why am I forgetting to talk about rain. I am sure not just kids and teens feel like heavens when it rains but even adults, uncles and even granmaa feel the same. In last so many years, I turned to an adult from a teen but its painful to recollect memories of old days. I no more play, I no more play when it rains, when there is storm, when there is fog, now no one comes to my home early in the morning and shouts my name. I guess my ma also misses that. My sports shoes always pray to God to see green grass and get drenched in the morning dew.

There are other things as well, simultaneously happening with my poor state of not playing and enjoying what i used to enjoy the most. Our cricket ground has been converted to concrete squares with roofs to keep urbanized humans. Urbanization have even swallowed our backyard trees which used be a favorite destination for kids to play kanche and gilli danda. more and more trees are being cut everyday. More and more playing grounds are being converted to societies.

My friends and me have been lucky to at least see what is rain and what is shadow. We have been lucky to play in the grounds and where we shared our happiness and disappointments with all. Being a kid, teen and youngster, I know that how does it feel to be enjoying with nature's most precious gifts.

This is am emotional side and emotional after affects of snatching these resources from kids and teens. They learn from it and its the biggest learning. But looking at the dangerous side of it, we are facing abnormal temperature of 44*C in the month of May. In last many years, we have not seen a heavy rain in which we used to ride our paper boats. We have not seen many kids playing Gilli Danda, Kanche, Latto and many more sports of galli. There is no space at all. There is no will at all.

Just see that, it s my own experience that in last many years with loosing cricket grounds, trees, rain and will so much have changed. Tsunami and Cyclones, more and more Mumbai and Bihar floods and no rain at all in some states. Do you see the connection between changing will and changing natural phenomenon. I do not know what is changing both. Both are changing but this change is not good. We have already seen that. But future will see the worst.

So, it is the time to change. Grow more and more trees. Save play grounds and save water. To be the part of natural life which is the right and normal life.

Few facts.....in Organizations

· Management people who are sensitive to issues of change make excellent leaders.

· To make a change happen, involve and engage yourself with it.

· We need to think as human beings first.

Unite the emotions and bring homogeneity in it.

We need to understand emotions through our thoughts which could be biased but we need to take care of all these biases which help us taking better decisions for the betterment of all.

· We make judgments on the basis of our experiences and knowledge which every time does not give the clear picture of happenings.

· We tend to see people and things, wrong which we do not like at all or we just ignore them.

· We should try to get ourselves in the shoes of other people only then we can realize their emotions and problems.

· Humanity and humility are the biggest tools for understanding and solving all the problems.

· 99% solutions are available within the organization but they are either unutilized or unknown.

What is Process and Nature of Organizations ?

What is Process and Nature of Organizations ?

Under the Course "Managing Uncertaintity, its our luck that we have got a chance to be taught by Mr. Sushanta Banerjee (http://www.samuday.com/) and Mrs. Rachna Chawla (http://in.linkedin.com/in/rachnachawla). Its my thoughts about what I learnt from their second class:

Every action and reaction has some purpose behind it. Actions are the result of the task which a group of people do. And the topic on which interactions build is content. But the way, interaction is carried becomes the process.
Process is a result of feelings, emotions, fear, aspirations and expectations of the participants. And a process is an emergent phenomenon. A process develops and it is a combined result of relationship of participants, their history, their biases, their own motives and their thinking. It also gets affected by the implicit and explicit norms of operations of individuals and groups.
Processes leads to experiences among the groups and it further leads to hypothesis. But experiences happen in the series of positive and negative forces and participants will have their own ways to experience the forces. This combined process of observed and experienced processes becomes characteristics of the group. But in a setting of an organization when processes become repetitive it becomes the identity of the group. And this identity of an organization encompasses all aspects of the organization like capabilities, potential, value, performance, ambience, history and technology which again happen under the emotions and behavior of the people in the organizations.

Body of Knowledge:

By nature there are two types of knowledge – to guide an action with and understanding of that which is new thinking and Imagination.
The first kind of knowledge is related to skills acquired over the time. These kinds of people are instrumental in their thinking. They are very clear about the goals and means. On the other side, the second type of knowledge forces upon thinking of change, this change could be new ideas and modifications in the existing processes. These people are perspectivist and they do not have any clear goal. The type of people gives ideas to new things and they innovate but the first types of people are clear leaders who manage and hold power in their hands.

Organization and change

we need to learn the concept of an organization, since to understand the change we need to understand the organization first. An organization is a set of people and it has certain boundaries. As a verb, it means to regulate, to bring order to and to structure. In an organization roles and responsibilities are defined and are differentiated by certain set of activities which are specific to individuals.
An organization does tasks which are more complex, meets shared objectives, allocate resources and provide security.
A change is a constant phenomenon, organizations change due to the aspirations and needs of the society. A change is inevitable due to change in external and internal environment.
Change happens from leadership and it affects all individuals and it is sensitive and intimately connected with emotions of all the units of an organization it will yield a positive change if all individuals are aware of the change and they participate in it.
