What is Process and Nature of Organizations ?

What is Process and Nature of Organizations ?

Under the Course "Managing Uncertaintity, its our luck that we have got a chance to be taught by Mr. Sushanta Banerjee (http://www.samuday.com/) and Mrs. Rachna Chawla (http://in.linkedin.com/in/rachnachawla). Its my thoughts about what I learnt from their second class:

Every action and reaction has some purpose behind it. Actions are the result of the task which a group of people do. And the topic on which interactions build is content. But the way, interaction is carried becomes the process.
Process is a result of feelings, emotions, fear, aspirations and expectations of the participants. And a process is an emergent phenomenon. A process develops and it is a combined result of relationship of participants, their history, their biases, their own motives and their thinking. It also gets affected by the implicit and explicit norms of operations of individuals and groups.
Processes leads to experiences among the groups and it further leads to hypothesis. But experiences happen in the series of positive and negative forces and participants will have their own ways to experience the forces. This combined process of observed and experienced processes becomes characteristics of the group. But in a setting of an organization when processes become repetitive it becomes the identity of the group. And this identity of an organization encompasses all aspects of the organization like capabilities, potential, value, performance, ambience, history and technology which again happen under the emotions and behavior of the people in the organizations.

Body of Knowledge:

By nature there are two types of knowledge – to guide an action with and understanding of that which is new thinking and Imagination.
The first kind of knowledge is related to skills acquired over the time. These kinds of people are instrumental in their thinking. They are very clear about the goals and means. On the other side, the second type of knowledge forces upon thinking of change, this change could be new ideas and modifications in the existing processes. These people are perspectivist and they do not have any clear goal. The type of people gives ideas to new things and they innovate but the first types of people are clear leaders who manage and hold power in their hands.
